The Old Paths History

The Old Paths was formed in 2003 by Doug Roark and Tim Rackley. The name for the old paths comes from Jeremiah 6:16 which says in part "...Seek ye the old paths... and walk therein." The Old Paths was originally a trio with baritone Doug Roark, lead Tim Rackley and tenor Chad Dominey. In 2006 bass singer Brandon Barry joined the group and they began traveling as a quartet.

The early ministry of the Old Paths was focused around singing in church services. The group began to branch out and do more "concert style" signing in the 2007 era. The old paths traveled from 2003 until 2015 when they announced that they would be retiring at the end of the year.

In 2017 the Old Paths announced their return to touring full time. The new group line up consisted of original members Tim Rackley, Doug Roark as well as previous member Daniel Ashmore. At this time the group was joined by tenor Steve Ladd who had previously sang with The Anchormen and Gold City Quartet. The group has traveled in this configuration since 2017.
